Learn about Games are proud to present The Home Front board game. The game teaches KS2 children about life during World War Two in the UK covering key curriculum facts from the outbreak of war through to VE day.

As players move around the board they are able to read the facts on the squares.There are three types of interactive style squares. News Bulletin and Read all About it give further facts and instruct the player to move forward or back, while the Quick on the Draw square gives the player a chance to interact with other players and show off their drawing skills in return for a reward of moving forward in the game.

Most of the squares are illustrated, with some showing artifacts such as ration books and air raid posters, many of which have been supplied with the help of the London Transport and Imperial War Museums, and the British Legion have very kindly allowed us to use their poppy logo. Part of the proceeds of the game will go the the Poppy Appeal fund.

During testing the game was very well received by both teachers and children and we are very grateful to Ann Finnis for allowing us to use her quote.
